About Boulder
Ridge
Boulder Ridge was designed and built by
your hosts and completed in 2006. Boulder Ridge has the feel of
a remote, mountaintop getaway, yet is located just a few minutes
from Brevard and within 30 minutes of Hendersonville, and
Asheville. Entrances to both Pisgah National Forest and Dupont
Forest are approximately seven minutes by car with numerous
waterfalls and hiking trails in both parks. Tubing, kayaking,
horseback riding and other adventures are experienced within
just a few miles of Boulder Ridge.
Our mountaintop home was designed to invite
guests to the fully-furnished, apartment-sized suite. Throughout
the bed and breakfast suite you will find tasteful furnishings
including antiques and original art.
At Boulder Ridge you will have a wonderful
view of the French Broad Valley and Blue Ridge Mountains.
Southern exposure allows viewing amazing sunrises, and sunsets
as well as stargazing. Outside of the downstairs suite, rocking
chairs and a bistro table and chairs are included on the 8’
wide, 40’ long covered porch. Guests are also invited to
explore the gardens and stone ledge patio a few steps down from
the suite. A large garden on the opposite side of the house
includes Adirondack chairs for relaxing, reading or just
enjoying the view.
The bed and breakfast suite includes a
large bedroom with a queen-sized bed, a large closet, chairs for
reading, and an antique dresser. The private full bath includes
a spa-tub, hair dryer, and other amenities. The full kitchen
includes coffee and tea service as well as kitchenware should
you wish to prepare meals or snacks. The dining table and
chairs are charming antiques. The living room includes a
fireplace, sofa, bookcases, TV, DVD and stereo system. A
washer/dryer, iron and ironing board are located in the suite.
While the suite is ideal for two adults, we
may accommodate one or two children over the age of 9 for a
modest surcharge. |
